For details please check, Knit a Blank & dye! Taking inspiration from ChemKnits YouTube Videos, I purchased two boxes of PAAS Classic to dye a hank of KnitPicksStroll Fingering, 75%Superwash Wool/25%Nylon, 437yards/100grams, color Natural. Resources: ChemKnits SOCKS, SOCKS, SOCKS; Edited by Elaine Rowley, (1998) 2007, p72, Dye-Your-Own Socks by Traci Bunkers. I've had the book since 2008, and use it as a good recipe. Also check out: ChemKnitsCreations Etsy Shop to enjoy/purchase her beautifully dyed yarns! |
I gathered supplies and pattern to get started. I carefully removed the clip from the last BO loop, and made a slip knot to get started with a long-tail cast-on. Turn. |
I worked the optional (waves) through the large eyelet. Temporary markers were placed at 19sts, and as needed 18sts more. As I finished the large eyelet, I ran a lifeline through the completed work. |
Happy I'd run a lifeline at the beginning of the wave bind-off steps, because I'd tried planB, and only used 75g of yarn. |
To solve that problem, I carefully frogged back to the lifeline making yarn balls A & B. I was ready to knit planC. |
YES, I'd worked the balled yarn and had plenty of stitches for more bind-off wave steps. |
