Take your
inspiration from ___ , select ~800yards/200 grams of fingering yarn
and work a heart shaped shawl! Taking
inspiration from _souvenir
yarn purchased a rainy afternoon while in Bath, ME and our very rainy
January 2020__,
I
have developed the I
“Heart” A
Stormy Sky
Shawl.
If the I
“Heart” ___
Shawl is knit in a
cotton blend, perfect for cool spring and summer evenings. If knit
in blended
wool, great for the blustery winter. The
shawl is worked with 2
increases
on both
right
side
edges
and 2
center
increases, creating a heart
shaped
shawl with plenty of wingspan. This might be considered an advance
beginner pattern because knowledge of stitch and shawl construction
are helpful. It takes ~800
yards of yarn, and a
few evenings or weekends to complete, making the I
“Heart” ___
Shawl
a perfect gift or accessory.
Shawl
finished size: 26”depth,
80”

Here are photos of the process:
Yarn purchased and wound into two cakes enjoying Halcyon Yarn while in Bath, Maine. |
Stormy Sky inspiration! The north coast of Oregon had many days of rain January 2020. |
Worked Grid Texture to 101 stitches, and placed a life line. |
Worked Grid Texture and Eyelet to 293sts, and time to run a life line. |
I worked Grid Texture for the border to 485stitches. I weighed the yarn, just 8grams of Impressionist Sky. I made the decision to work the Elastic Bind-Off. Yes, in the end, 2grams remaining.
Sorry, no photo. It was late evening, and I wanted to block!
We had a break in the weather, modeled photos! |
